Parents, this is your chance to provide your children with experiences that promote better and healthy brain development, listening skills, organization and categorizing development. Music gives your child a full experience that is wholesome and most importantly engaging and FUN!
Children's Drumming, Rhythm and Movement classes are being offered on Sunday mornings.
Hand Drums and other instruments are supplied but feel free to bring your child's favorite percussion instrument for a more bonding experience that can continue at home. Classes are approximately 40 minutes.
Kids Drumming -
When you register >> : 1. You will select the grade you want 3-5 yrs or 6-8 years. 2. You will receive a confirmation email followed up with a note from me with complete information you may need. That will include parking, local coffee shops to spend some downtime, etc.
You may pay by credit card online, by check to 'Alan Tauber' and mail to or cash in person is preferable: DrumConnection PO Box 1311, Arlington, MA 02474 or by cash or check at our school at 177 Mass. Ave., Arlington, MA 02474. Advance registration is required. Limited enrollment.
Important: You must register but you do not have to use your credit card. There is a drop down menu at registration page where you can pay at the door. Either way is fine, but we need everyone to register please.

Holly Stumpf graduated from the University of Rochester and received a Masters of Education in Creative Arts from Lesley University. She attended the yearlong course at the Orff Institute in Salzburg, Austria, where she studied Orff-Schulwerk, a child-centered and creative approach to music education.
Ms. Stumpf taught elementary music in Lexington, Massachusetts for forty years, and has taught courses at the New England Conservatory and University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
Each summer she teaches movement at the Tufts University Summer Program for children. She has presented several workshops at national American Orff - Schulwerk Association conferences.
She has traveled to Senegal and Ghana to study African drumming and dancing, and has led community drum circles. Ms Stumpf received the Lexington Public Schools Diversity Award in 2008 for her multicultural music and movement curriculum, and the Yale Distinguished Music Educators Award in 2011.
